PRACTICE AREAS:
Almost since his admission to the Bar in 1986, Steele Holman has defended line-haul, LTL, and logging truck companies and drivers in motor vehicle accidents. He has defended major manufacturers in industrial accident and product liability cases involving catastrophic injuries and death. He defends construction defect cases.  He has represented insurers in fraud and contract actions, as well as serving as coverage counsel for life and CGL insurers. Holman has defended employment and workers’ compensation matters as well as representing businesses in various commercial claims.  Holman has lengthy experience in insurance defense practice.  Holman holds the Martindale Hubbell AV© rating.

 

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Holman holds licenses in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi and is admitted to various courts of those states.  He is active in the Trucking Industry Defense Association and belongs to the DRI’s Trucking Law, Construction Law, and Workers’ Compensation, and Diversity Committees.  He is past editor of the Trucking Law Committee’s In Transit newsletter and now edits the Construction Law Committee’s Critical Path newsletter.  Holman also is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Mobile Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.  Holman is the primary contact for the firm’s Rapid Response Team for trucking accidents.
